2020, What a Year! We Appreciate Your Support

CAB THEATRE APPRECIATES YOUR SUPPORT!

Greetings from the back-end of 2020!

Whoever could have predicted all the woes and challenges that 2020 wrought? But it appears we’ve survived, and we hope to be present and strong for the year to come with your help.

This year we had to go virtual! As a group we really wanted to show our community that we are still ready to entertain you! We offered our online events for free and really appreciated all of the great compliments and tips from our viewers. Click below to watch!

Creative Alliance of Baraboo (CAB) Theatre is a local non-profit theatre company bringing a wide variety of inspired and original theatre to the public. We offer an eclectic menu of theatre experiences, including twice-yearly Original Works (MaCABre!) written by folks in our community, CABin Fever Stand-Up Comedy Night, youth theatre workshops, Teens ‘n’ Theatre, our program addressing real-world teen issues, and House Plays, producing notable and provocative full-length plays in an intimate setting. CAB Theatre aims for inclusive and entertaining theatre for everyone!

As a non-profit, and a theatre for the people, we aim to keep our events free or with a reasonably low suggested-donation. That means we can always use a little help to keep our proverbial doors open. So we’re asking for a donation.

Where, you ask, might your donation dollars be put to use? Our needs are few, but important for us to continue this work:

  • Rental space. Since we don’t have a brick and mortar operation, we have to pay rent for our performance spaces. And sometimes for our rehearsal spaces! Your donation helps us to do this.
  • Stipends. While we are not a professional company, and no-one receives a salary, we do offer stipends to  some of the creative forces behind our programs. Those who have and continue to show a level of commitment deserving of some recognition. It’s not easy keeping an arts organization running in a small town based on volunteer time alone. Our small stipends help.
  • Props. Costumes. Technical Support. Our lively theatre community has a wealth of resources to draw from, but sometimes we just have to purchase or rent things, or hire professionals. For example, the DJ services for our CABin Fever Stand-Up Comedy show, or the adult-size Snow White costume used in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, our 2018 House Play.
  • Royalties. It’s not typical for CAB, but sometimes we have to pay for a script (always for House Plays). Supporting artists is a large part of what we strive for, and that includes published playwrights.
  • Legal costs. Liability insurance, 501c3 filing, tax preparation, etc.
If you’re inclined, please send a check to our PO Box below. Or, to pay by PayPal, go to our website and click on the yellow DONATE button below the slideshow, on the right side of any page. Note that CAB Theatre is a non-profit company with 501c3 status. We are happy to send you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.
If you’re inclined, we would be grateful for any amount you can give! Click on the yellow DONATE button below the slideshow, on the right side of any page. Or a check can be sent to our PO Box below.

Note that CAB Theatre is a non-profit company with 501c3 status. We are happy to send you a receipt for your tax-deductible donation.

Thank you for your continuing support of the arts in Baraboo! While you’re at it, consider a membership, which will
also help to sustain CAB Theatre!

Happy Holidays and here is to a new and better year!
